Join us for a full day of Zazen, guided meditation, loving kindness practice, chanting and prayer as we hold space and bear witness to this moment in history – Election Day 2020.

A vigil is a sacred vessel that holds our fears, griefs, anxieties, reactivity, restlessness, love, prayers, courage, care, desperation, numbness, hope and despair. We bear witness, by showing up for ourselves, our community and our world in the embodied way that is our zazen practice. We sit upright, in the fires of change and deep feeling, as a Bodhisattva, the heart oriented towards loving kindness, compassion, joy and peace.

This vigil will be hosted by Great Vow and take place on the zoom app. Every hour we will have either a period of zazen, guided meditation, loving kindness practice, movement practice, or chanting. You are welcome to come and go as you please, the Great Vow residents will be holding space for the entire 24 hours. Teachers from the community will be guiding different practices at different times throughout the 24 hours. ElectionDayVIGIL – Schedule Here

Collective practice is collective liberation. Support others with your deep intention to show up for love, freedom and justice.

For as long as space endures, and for as long as living beings remain, so then may I too abide, to dispel the misery of the world. – HH the Dali Lama
