Autumn Zazenkai: A One Day Meditation Retreat
With Larry Fuho Trussell
October 30, 2021
Zazen is going right into the Ocean of Awareness, manifesting the body of all Buddhas. The natural luminosity of mind suddenly reveals itself and the original light is everywhere. -Keizan Zenji
This is a day of Zen practice – meditation practice together, seated and active. The temple holds a “Zazenkai” every season. In this retreat you can set aside a day to practice simplicity and silence allowing the mind to settle into presence. The schedule includes meditation (zazen), chanting, caring for the garden and grounds, and Dharma talk. A meal will not be provided this Zazenkai, so please bring a sack lunch.
**Masks and proof of full vaccination are required.**

10:00 Temple care-taking
11:30 Meditation
12:30 Lunch (Bring your own lunch)
